It descends like a deaf curtain of unique lacey
crystals.
It’s sterile drifts reflect against the darkness and make night appear lighter.
It illuminates the space between day and night like only a beautiful blanket of powdery snow can render.
Reminicsing over and relishing my past scenic beauties is probably the closest I’m going to get to a worthy snowfall this year.
Oh, so close…Formidable flurries are all around me but they don’t quite reach the sunny coast.
My little feathered friends would rather not have to shovel out there breakfast.
When the insects are buried they depend on the kindness of humans to toss them some seeds, fruit, and nuts so help the wildlife out by putting bird feeders up, especially in the cold months!
There’s a fine line between insanity and passion. When you’re trying to crystalize a moment in time it can be tempting to take risks in order to capture the creative shot you’ve visualized.
I would never do anything to endanger anyone’s life or even inconvenience another driver in the name of my art.
On this excursion I did resist stopping to take a photo of a gorgeous egret down in the valley off of the exit ramp. You’ve seen those sign on cars that say, “Caution. Frequent Stops.” Well, I need one that warns ‘taking pictures,’ please go around :)
Sometimes it seems the best"Kodak Moments" appear at the most dangerous times like when you're rolling down the road in the car by yourself and you see "it." That shot you just have to capture! There are drivers behind you that could care less about the gorgeous sunset unfolding before them. And when it's wildlife
a rare snow scene (if you live where I do)
OR a perishable sunset it's tough to resist pulling over and snapping away :)
It was a race to catch the sun before it’s final descent beyond the horizon. The closer I thought I was getting the farther away it was. No matter how many twists and turns I made I couldn’t quite reach the other side of the tree line.
So if I get a sign for my car, then when I’m trying to grab that perfect shot, other drivers will know that I’m not wandering or pokey. I’m searching for A unique Winter Wonderland rendering in this case, or some other must have artistic masterpiece!
